milestones already...

The NBA season kicked off Oct 26th. Eight days into the season and theres been rookies and players that have made close to or milestone marks in the NBA. The rookie Blake Griffin who didn't get a chance to play in the last years season due to knee surgery, made a big name for himself in his First NBA game and the first game of the season. He's got his name in the NBA records with the one of few to have a double-double in his first NBA game with 23 points and 14 rebounds. The year before in his first preseason game he tore his acl in his knee and was forced to sit out for the remainder of the year.
The Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has also been put in the record books within the first 4 games. He recorded a career high 24 rebound game, and no turnovers. He also broke the record for most assist throughout 5 games taking the record from Hall of Famer John Stockon. his team is now 3-1 with his steller play. He is also so far in the season one of two to record a triple-double he and Brandon Jennings. Also another player on his team has put his name in the record books and a spot in potential Hall of Fame. During the game vs the Milwaukee Bucks. While at the free thow line shooting the first of two. He makes the first putting him in company with Larry Bird and Maravich. He became only the third Celtic to score over 20,000 pints. As he makes the first free throw he puts up two fingers to the crowd in feeling of he knew he had hit the mark of 20,000 points.
The long time veteran Kobe Bryant has added to his long list of accomplishments. He now has the most minutes played as a Laker, passing Kareem Abdulgabar. Just one many acomplishments. He also achieved his 17th career triple-double vs the Sacremento Kings. His team also is one of 3 undefeated teams in the league. Hopefully more milestones to come.!

The big 3's, 1st lost

Oct 26 lastnight the tip of the NBA regular season tipped of with the long awaited debut of the Miami Heats big 3...Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh face off against the defending NBA conference champion Celtics, and their big 3...Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnet, and Ray Allen. The long awaited debut of the Heat's new big 3 fell short of victory. The star guard Dwayne Wade, says "sorry to the fans who thought we would go 82-0". The star foward LeBron James says, "Rome wasn't built in one day". Meaning its going to take time for the feeling out process. They are all willing to take the downfalls as of now to be better in the long run. 2 out of the 3 of the Miami heat's trio, struggled poorly. Dwayne Wade shot a horrible (4-16) and finished with 13 points. Bosh only took 11 attempts. LeBron played well but not his best, with 31 points shooting (10-21). The team could make excuses for the disappointing lost but they say the biggest thing they have to work on is the turnovers, and the chemistry of the new players. As a team the heat played a worst first game than last years team which was a bit of a disappointment.
The star foward Bosh says "we know what is expected of us and we wont let you down". The final score 88-80, the Heat trailed the whole game, they found enough drive to cut it to 5 in the 4th quarter but didn't do enough of the little things. Meanwhile the celtics had a pretty subpar night but getting the W (win). The too were a bit shakey being that was the first game of the season, but the chemistry they had helped them get over the hump. The point guard for the Celtics scored 9 points and dished out 19 assists. His play was key in the win against the Heat. Allen his big shot after big shot, Pierce of the Celtics says "open in the corner i'd get him the ball anytime.

The common reciepe to a championship team

The common reciepe to a championship team can be many different things, but it is the difference between a championship team and just a good team. The first thing would be to make sure the team understands eachother and is unified. Make sure the team is all after one goal, and feels as if there team  is there family. This will make sure the chemistry is right and so that they trust one another while together. There can't be too much negativity, it will cause a disaster in the teams goals. There is good negativity, which is constructive criticism, which is telling your teammates about things they should work on and them taking it in a good way. Being positive is an important step also this can determine the confidence of the team and your teammates and way the team plays. Going hard in practice is one the biggest steps. In practice this is where you learn what it is you are producing on the court. In practice everyone should give a hundred percent and challenge eachother to get better. Everyone knows you practice how you play, so if you practice hard you will play hard when its game time. A bigger part would be having a good teacher, that knows what they're talking about.
Important things in games that win championship games is valueing the ball, making freethrows and layups, and playing hard defense which will lead to good offense. While playing in big games you have to realize you have to have alot of heart if you want to win any of the big games. Without believing you will win, most likely you won't so that is an important part also. Now here are the most MAJOR parts in being a championship teams, being in shape so that you can compete  at a high level. Having concentration while playing understanding the game in which you are playin. Being hungry, not wanting food, but being hungry to win, wanting to win as much as anything you want in your life. Besides all those things the overall most important thing to winning and being a championship team is having FUN. Without having fun theres no drive and no way you will ever be a championship team.

The Heats big 3

After being the laughing stalk of the league more than a few years ago, the Miami now have made moves since then that now give the name as one of the best. The Miami Heat has one NBA title with the help of there superstar Dwayne Wade, and Shaq. Before Winning there 1st title the season before, the Heat won only 20 or so games being the but of the jokes of the league. The next year they got the 3rd pick in the draft. The season after that the got Shaq and won the title the second year after getting him. They were now mentioned as being one of the best teams. The following season the took a blow with the middle of the season injury to Shaq. Without him they seemed not as good. As he returned they got better and seemed to be picking up then the star Wade gets hurt. Then Shaq gets traded. The team goes through 3 bad years before they get their big break. After the 09-10 season is up then theres the biggest free agency the League has seen. The biggest name superstar SF, LeBron James is looking for a new team. Also one of the biggest named named PF post players are looking for a team to take his talents and look for a team to win. The player already a member of the Heat Wade talks Bosh the PF into coming as a 1-2 punch. As the think it over why stop at getting one superstar to join another why not get 3. On the last day, decision day. LeBron James publicly live, annouces he "will take his talents to south beach". After the decision, the next day there jerseys were being sold for there new teams, Time to WIN!!!

Kevin Durant on the rise

The NBA has lots of up and coming stars. The biggest being a 6"10 SG, with a over 7 foot wingspan. He goes by the name of Kevin Durant, of the Oklahoma Thunder. Now in his third season in the league he has several outstanding accomplishments. This following year he accomplished the NBA scoring title and coming in second in voting for league MVP, behind LeBron James. He lead his team to the NBA playoffs and almost defeated the the raining champion Lakers. In the playoffs his team didn't make it out the first round but were in a close series where they were expected to loose and they were actually ahead in the series. With winning the scoring title he became the youngest in NBA history to do. He has a special talent being a exceedingly tall player with the skills of a 6 foot guard. His skills have proven to be top notch!
He hasn't been able to get overlooked, but not just because of his height, but by his acts of always being in the spotlight. He proved his dominance, and is currently making his name by being a starter on team USA. Last year he didn't make the final cut. To prove his hard work and determination he has moved up in the ranks by being "the man" on the USA team. He lead in scoring and also broke the tournament scoring record.

The salaries..

The salary of professionals are usually determined by if the player is producing, in what they're suppose to be doing. Professionals salary can be a little out rageous but thats for the job their doing. Most the time the best in the game or the best to the team gets paid a lot to stay. Sometimes the player can get paid depending on the kind of name they made. The highest paid salaries at the beginning of last year, were Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady. Tracy Mcgrady which was number one played only 35 out of 82 games due to engery, an is thought of as waisted talent. Theres where having a name made in the nba comes into hand. For years McGrady was in the top of all nba categories, except winning a ring. So when considering salary sometimes how big a players name is will determine that. Kobe which was 2nd earned his salary by being the leader of the championship Lakers. So also like I was saying earlier, producing like leading a championship team also is a big part of determining your salary.
The youth of a player or the health of player also plays a big role. The younger the player the longer they can play, but also being experienced an a good vet. will also control the salary. With a younger player with different abilities is better than an older player thats just good at setting screens, then the younger player will get paid more. With being a veteren player there comes experience and being wise. So being able to come up with a verteren play in the clutch of the game, or being able to be a wise voice and leader to the team, will get you more money than a player thats good at shooting. The choce of salary as a player ultimately comes down to being a vet, being able to produce in many ways, or being young with qualities, or simply showing with numbers that you deserve all the money you made, or in that case earned!!

Does winning rings determine being a better player?

In the game today a lot of fans, and analysts try to judge the greatness of a player or if they're at certain level based on if their winning rings, or have won a ring. Some Hall of Fame players, some of the best don't have a ring. For example two Hall of Famers Charles Barkely, and Karl Malone didn't win a ring but still considered great in a lot of eyes. People would say that Michael Jordan is the greatest player to play the game. Now thats said for a reason. He dominated in every part of the game. From numerous most valuable player awards, to deffensive player awards, to all teams deffense and offense. To leading his team to 2 different 3 peats, winning 6 nba titles. He proved his leading of the NBA titles by winning the finals MVP several times also. Now with every player comes a teams so he wouldn't have made it without the team, but also the team would be nowhere without his game winning shots, clutch play and eye popping plays.
So today the talks seems to be that Kobe Bryant 4 time NBA champion, is the best player. Theres alot of big names that have reason to feel otherwise. Now best player in my opinion, is either LeBron James or Dwayne Wade. I believe without the best player the team would be nothing. The Los Angeles Lakers, the team Kobe Bryant plays for, is a good TEAM! Now some confuse that with being the best player. I think the best player player has the best stats, and their team couldn't win without. Its been proven that the teams, that Lebron James, and Dwayne Wade play for can't function without them. So i'm saying the best PLAYER, is the most valuabe to their team, and has the best statistics. Not how many rings you win, although that is important. So in closing D-Wade or LeBron is the best as of now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
